For the months, the usual interface is for the user to see only the month name, not the number.
My previous suggestion was to use not the contents of the Combobox, but its position, of the selected item. January would already be the first element, February the second, etc., so you can use the position directly.
In other cases, I add a second column - invisible for the end-user - with the data that is actually saved to disk, for instance. But in this case, you don't need it.
