This is how I see it (guessing a bit, since it your idiom is uncharted territory to me, so I was a bit lost at yur site...): in the boat listings the document is declaring ISO-8859-1 (latin) encoding. Probably this will be enough for your needs. Codepage 865 is PC specific: I would follow your ISP suggestion and translate your data prior to its uploading: CPCONVERT(865,1252,m.lcData) (codepage 1252 is close enough to ISO-8859-1).
