Interesting story.
Here is a true story about Dwight D. Eisenhower. The Board at Columbia University was looking for a new President for that institution of higher education. Someone mentioned, “Eisenhower”!, so an offer was made to Dwight D. Eisenhower, and he accepted. Upon receiving the notice of acceptance the Board convened and the announcement was made that Dwight D. Eisenhower would be the new President of Columbia University.
The person who made the original suggestion of offering the position of president to “Eisenhower” spoke up immediately, “I meant Milton Eisenhower, his brother”! Milton Eisenhower was a well-known educator and during his career was president of Pennsylvania State University and then Johns Hopkins University
Another story about Dwight D. Eisenhower, who was military secretary for Douglas MacArthur came from a newspaper interview. Eisenhower was a man of few words but they were well chosen. Eisenhower was asked, “What did you learn from MacArthur”? Eisenhower replied, “Theatrics”!
