Any new security systems on the network? Any new protocols? Encryption? Firewalls? RealSecure, etc? This sounds somewhat like an encryption on the network problem or packet loss of some type... Are these VFP tables? No SQL, Progressive, Oracle, etc? What codepages are in use on all machines? Any users that have different languages installed?

>Has anyone ever seen this happen to them? The clients are getting upset, and rightfully so. So far, we have been able to correct the data by looking at backup tapes. But this is a band-aid over the true problem. We are seeing this happen in multiple tables and with different fields.

>Oh, one more thing: we tried putting update triggers on the data, but the triggers haven't fired. The records affected were added 2 years ago or so. They hadn't changed at all until a few weeks ago. Our system is set up in such a way that these records really never change.
