While I would agree with most of this, I disagree with the way TCP/IP was presented. As I recall, the military actually wanted to use Novell's IPX due to its greater security capabilities, but Novell would not release it for use outside it's control (Novell's biggest mistake). So the military had to make due with IP, a less secure protocol. Anyone that has studied protocols and has access to government records can verify this. Just look at the packet structure. I saw documents reflecting this myself years ago. Doubt if they are on the internet though...
