Mike;

I hold in my hand all the factual evidence to justify any action, which I may take. You cannot see it as you do not have a need to know and we must protect our sources of information.

First the motivation and desire to go to war is established and then we are asked to “fill in the blanks”. In this case we are talking about war and not about possible ramifications. This is cowboy justice – ride into town – shoot up the place and then ride out. “City slickers just do not get it”!

It will take about 6 months to get all the logistics prepared for an attack. I was hoping that the Bush threat of war would prompt Iraqi to allow UN weapons inspectors to return. When that occurred I immediately thought that this was an outstanding gambit on the part of Bush – that is the inspections were to be allowed once again. Then Bush could justify attacking Iraqi if Iraqi stopped inspections.

No, my reasoning was off track. Bush announced we were going to attack anyway. This destroys the logic of justification. Bush has one thing in mind – war with Iraqi – picking up where his father left off and he has to finish the job as he sees it.

We are talking about ego and not good leadership. Now everyone who believes in what Bush is about to do stand on one side and everyone else on the other side. Start the war. We are now all dead.

Mike, if you keep this up it will remind me of the mid 60’s to 70’s. Do not confuse the hawks with reality – they want no part of it. Justification for war is in the hearts and heads of fools. Old men make decisions to make war so the young can die. All that we can do is rationalize or at the other extreme scream idyllic patriotic slogans, and get on with the attack. To say that anything is ever wrong with our policies means you are not a “good American”. Men in power have a responsibility to more than their own egos.

Let me add one thing – why Bush has done nothing to help the economy. With many people out of work more people will join the military. We need more cannon fodder to place out in the fields. The size of the military has to be increased. This is phase one. Next comes the draft. Then we will send the women and children. Better yet – the enemy will come to us.

Tom
