So what you are saying is, my original question was wrong? Apparently I don't get it. What did my suggestion that we add a FROM clause to the SCATTER command have to do with "the best method of handling uncommitted changes"? Or your post that I should "consider using data buffering instead of Scatter/Gather" because, "Buffering has been a better way to go from the day VFP 3.0 was released seven years ago".
