LAN Internet conenctivity TCPIP ?

For a manufacturing company I am working for;
they have two LANs in two seperate facilities; one in Montreal and the other in Victoriaville. I have two ethernet punch clocks installed, one in each location. These clocks are connected two their respective switches with their own TCP/IP addresses (like the computers) to their server.

The operating system on both servers is "Windows 2000 Server"

From a PC connected the the LAN in Montreal, I need to be able to poll the punch clock from Montreal using TCP/IP connectivity over the internet. Internet conenction is already established.

I was able to connect the Montreal server to the Victoriaville server using the "Routing & Remote Access", by adding a "Remote-Dial Interface" offered in "Administrative Tools" section. I am successful when "pinging" the punch clock in Victoriaville, from the Montreal server.

However my problem lies in "pinging" the punch clock from the PC I would to perform the actuall polling (in the accounting office). The PC is a Windows NT 4.0 workstation. NOTE- The polling software only request one TCP/IP address as input for every clock defined.

Is there a way to complete the connection, with Windows NT or must I upgrade the PC to Windows 2000 also, or will it not make any difference?

Any help is greatly appreciated!
Thanks in advance!
