The theme of the NSS is that the U.S. wants only one thing: freedom for everyone. But the U.S. government alone has the right to decide what counts as freedom.
>To preserve that freedom, the NSS promises that no nation will be given any chance of “surpassing, or equaling, the [military] power of the United States.”>

>Let freedom ring!
Mike;
Ring, ring, ring. Man that sound is still with me!
When I was in the Air Force Security Service, it did not take me long to give my own motto for the United States. LBJ was President. My motto was "Peace Through War". Would you believe I did not re-enlist?
One month before discharge date from the Air Force, your company commander was required to give you a “re-enlistment interview”, which pointed out all the “positive things about re-enlisting”. After going over each point the commander presented with my own examples of what my experience was vs. what the commander painted with his words, the commander became very upset with me. He stated, “I will put on your permanent record that this Airman has a very negative attitude”! I answered, “Sir, does that mean I will make a good civilian”? The commander screamed at me to leave his office. It is so easy to upset some people with the truth.
By the way I make a great civilian and highly recommend it! :)
