>>Now we must remember he is our only appointed President. Such a distinction and I am sure the democratic process will reelect him. Perhaps by the next Presidential election we Americans will have the right to have our votes counted.

Randy;

No one has to agree upon anything that they are not willing to believe. My understanding of the events which caused Bush to become President differ from your statement. I would like to suggest that Bush was not appointed President of the United States by the Electoral College. Gore would have won the Electoral College. Rather it was an act by the United States Supreme Court, which appointed Bush President of the United States. An awareness of fact is important to some but facts become forgotten quickly.

We could debate the specifics of my comment and the facts involved. We could also let this matter rest. With Masters Degrees in History, Political Science and a great interest in our democratic process I am well prepared to discuss this subject.

What rules are you in reference to? The Constitution does not allow the Court to appoint the President but it took that liberty. It seems that we have lost several liberties as Americans since Bush ran for President. To some that is perfectly alright as we had too many liberties to begin with. Bush cannot be blamed for any of this but it is becoming his legacy.

If you wish we can discuss this in private so it does not become a flame war, which is not my intent. I have no problem with anyone voicing his/her opinion but do have concerns when facts are not understood or incorrectly stated.

My reason for answering your comments is not to aggravate you and I apologize if I have done so. As is so typical of communication on the Internet or any other means it is too easy to misunderstand what someone says, intended to say, or for that matter the meaning or intent.

In any event I wish you a good day and weekend.

Tom
