I am trying to update a progress bar while appending records to a table from a very large flat file. Does anyone know of a way to get a progress value during the append process so I can plug into my progressBar ? I tried a timer that resets every second and code that gets the reccount() of the table I'm appending to but it doesn't appear to update while the append is in process.
