Hello All from Ft Lauderdale,

The hotel is beautiful, I am on the 15TH floor overlooking dozens of very expensive Yachts. Anyone else here yet?? Sorry I havnt filled out the devcon form yet, been busy, but will do that after this message. Couple of quickies...

1) Very small room safes, no standard laptop will fit, luckily my boss got me a fujitsu lifebook (submini) and it fits, others will be out of luck

2) When I called to make my reservation, I was told the highspeed internet would be included in the room charge, it is not. $10/Day or $40/Wk, on the plus side it is easy to setup, FTP seems to require pasv mode, but can run my office from here so I'm happy

3) Local phone service is a buck, toll free is not surcharhed by the hotel, so you dialup users, if you have an 800 number use it!

4) Parking is $15/Day Self Service $20 for Valet, so you might want to rethink the car...

Thats all for now, Stay tuned for coverage from Nick and myself on the UT over the next few days, Hope to see everyone here at the show...
