>What really amazes me is that we can put an entire functioning city onto a ship and supply it with clean fresh water and food, but can't find a way to get good water to the most of the populated areas on Earth.
What really amazes me is that although we have the ability (financial & technological) to supply clean fresh water & food to the worlds most populated & poorest areas, but we would rather spend the money on relieving the boredom of a very small group of very rich people.
But I guess it's all about profit.
Despite providing clean water to some small African countries, this was done on the basis that the water companies were privatised & put into the hands of foreign companies, many of the people the clean water was meant for cannot afford to buy it, so are still using polluted/disease-ridden water from the rivers.
