I had PO8 installed on a Win98SE Dell desktop, but it was a PIII 400mHz machine. The problem with PO8 on a Win9x machine is that after a few hits against the database the CPU gets pegged at 99% utilization and stays there until you shutdown the Oracle database. I have since moved on th Win2k fully patched and PO8 works fabulously under that OS. It runs as a service and uses minimal CPU resources.
