Craig,
>I'm surprised the details aren't flooding in to the UT by now. Either the computer lab isn't open tonight or there is not any internet connectivity.
I think everyone is still stunned speachless by all the fabulous new features. :-) It really is quite a remarkable list of meaty new capabilities and user-requested enhancements.
For instance, the ramifications of Try..Catch error handling take awhile to sink in, but represent a major advancement forward. The same is true for Collections, sub-classable Member objects, Data Environment class enhancements, and on and on the list goes.
Although it's not applicable to every architecture, I think the CursorAdapter will be very useful for many people, to allow almost transparent cursor access to a variety of data source types, such as XML and ADO.
I'm presenting VFP8 to the Atlanta Fox User Group on October 17th, so I'm really looking foward to working out some practical applications of several of these new features.
