This is an open message to Ken Levy.

I enjoyed reading about the new features in VFP 8 beta. There are many enhancements that are most welcome and some which are long overdue. I will upgrade as soon as it hits the stores.

However, whilst everybody is waxing lyrical about version 8 beta, I would like to say that I am VERY disappointed that the few changes to the Report Designer do NOT make up for its failings in providing decent file output, ie .rtf, .doc, and .pdf. This subject has been raised many times before in UT and a number of developers are screaming out for this functionality.

I KNOW that there are now several third party products out there now that seem to "fit the bill," but you need MS Word for them to work AND the results are often marginal at best.

Okay Ken, it's over to you. How about a committment for the future (ie Europa) to do something about this MAJOR issue with the VFP product?
