>How many more versions? Good question. I'm resigned that I will have to change programming languages for the next iteration of my application. I'm looking at Java, Delphi/Kylix, and .NET. So, here I sit, not happy at M$ because they are forcing a change that is primarily to their benefit and when a vendor does that it sours the relationship.
Exactly, I feel MS would have a hard time convincing people here that you can be more productive with using .Net for DB's, with minimal learning.
>In a way I feel sorry for Ken Levy, having to spout half truths and beat around the bush in ways that are just so transparent. If M$ had a real dumbbell in that position who believed everything he was told to say, at least the poor sop could sleep well at night.
The minute I heard they were only interested in the current user-base brought it home to me, we are being fattened up for the kill, how fat we will be when we're killed, I don't know :)
