VFP5 did have a couple Y2K issues, for which Microsoft issued a patch. That patch is no longer available on the VFP website, so you'll need to contact Microsoft product support to obtain this patch.

However, if I recall correctly, the display of the file date when issuing a DIR command was deemed not worth fixing, because it wouldn't affect an end user or break any automated tasks. So, after applying the patch, you'll still see the wrong century in the DIR listing. This is obviously fixed in later versions of Visual FoxPro. :)
