I inherited DataEntry application from my colleague. It was started ~ 1999 in a completely separate framework (not the one, we use), was very messy and buggy.

Ok, I
1) Convert it to using our standard framework
2) Instead of repetative form's code created bunch of classes
3) Fixed and simplified couple of methods
4) Made lots of other changes
5) Added completely separate regime and couple of new menu functionality
6) All within ~1,5-2,5 months

At the end I could not even look at this application. Each time I thought, it's fine, the new little glitch was discovered and I started to workaround again.

Ok, I finally turned this app for user's testing.

She gave me a list of ~10+ different problems to fix.

I fixed them all, turned it back.

She found few not entirely fixed, few new problems, couple of suggestions, etc.

I fixed again and turned back.

She re-tested and found few new problems, some fixed on the first round re-appeared.

Fixed them again, turned back.

Worked for ~week and a half on several other projects forgetting this nightmare.

Today get a list with 11 items, some of them ER, some unnoticed problems, one is very annoying problem with validation in a grid.

Ok, I spent the whole day today on the first problem. I almost solved it except for one little thing...

When this project would be over? Seems like I'm going in a circle...
