It's more than that. It can connect to pretty much any back end data source: ADO, ODBC, XML, or VFP and if needed, it will translate the data into a VFP cursor. It has methods for tableupdate, etc. It makes it very easy to change the back end data.. just change some properties on the Cursor Adapter and you're done.
