No, that's a BIG problem in fact!!! Sure, it would be better if there was some way for each of us to "rate" the priority of any wish. But relying on counting the duplicates to estimate the "value" of any wish is totally WRONG.
Mainly it is wrong because MOST (by far) people who see that a wish is already recorded abstain from making a similar entry and that is the honourable thing to do. Some will add a comment to the wish they see, to indicate support or sometimes to say they disagree.
Trouble is, once any wish goes beyond the first page (or two) people no longer see it, so a similar one gets re-entered.

Believe me, if submitting duplicates was the way to reinforce that a wish is really really WANTED, then there would be 4000 wishes for VFP8, not just 440 or thereabouts.

IF perchance MS *IS* using counts the make such determinations then they have done us a great disservice. And they should tell us so and we can then FLOOD them with wishes!

Why do you think there is a lookup feature for the wish list if duplicates are encouraged??? There is NO NEED for any searching if you want to submit any wish on the basis that counts are ALL THAT MATTER.
