Apologies...I thought I had this on the site already! IAC, we expect to have a wonderful session next Thursday, 10-10-02, as Tamar Granor presents "Using the Debugger Effectively."

Stop using WAIT WINDOWs everywhere and hoping/praying to come across the same errors as your users describe! Take charge of your app by learning how to use VFP's powerful Debugger effectively, as well as get some strategies on reporting/logging errors at your client sites.

When you know about issues, they get resolved much quicker <g>. I don't know about you, but for some reason, my users sometimes don't tell me about bugs in the system. I suppose they're watered down by M$ and just accept them and move on without mentioning a word about it! And as I've said before, it looks great to users when you admit you're human (i.e., code not flawless) but instead are eager to fix bugs and make their application run as best as it can.

So don't miss the exciting opportunity to hear one of the VFP communities finest speak on this topic and increase your depth/ability as a developer at the same time.

I will be sharing my current error reporting techniques in the first hour. We'll also discuss others methods and any success stories in this area.

Please share this information with those who may not receive this email who may be interested. Also, please RSVP (rsvp@cpvfug.org) if you plan to attend. First-time non-member attendees get free admission. Hope to see you there!
