However, I think it would be easier (to me) to sort the items in an array or table and repopulate the treeview with the results following that.

And they sort like that: 1,10,11,100,101,110,111,2,20,21,22... and so on. I'd like to allow the user to sort the nodes as he/she wants, moving them up and down, using two command buttons. Simply select the node and move it up, one step at a time. I saw such interface in other apps, and I'm pretty sure it can be done in VFP, I just don't like the idea to remove the nodes and add them back - it's a PITA when the nodes have children, too.
