I have a laptop that won't startup even if the AC adpter is plugged in. I suspect its the battery because the battery life had gotten very short. I have had other laptops that would always work on AC even if the battery was run down.

Anyone else have this happen? I just want to make sure that a new battery will fix the problem so I don't buy a new battery and still have a problem with the laptop.
