You can try instantiating the DBEngine class with is DAO.DBEngine.35, but this is only for A97 MDB's and also I'm not sure if you can do anything with it in VFP.

If you have Access installed, you would be better off using automation (Access.Application) or using the Jet OLEDB provider or ODBC driver in the abscence of full Access installed. HTH
