>Can anyone please give a clue: does bi-weekly mean twice a week or twice a month?
Here we say "cada quince días" (every
15 days), where I would find it more logical to say "every 14 days". Similarly, instead of saying "once a week", people tend to say "every 8 days".
The reasoning, pressumably, is that you start to count today as "1". This must be from a distant when zero was not considered a number.
