I have posted this same message on Microsoft Visual Fox Programmers exchange but have received no answers. It probably is a dumb question, but please take into account the person who is asking.

I am totally new to accessing the web from VFP. I've been reading all the
pertinent postings and I have dropped an instance of the Web browser from
the Component Gallery on to a form. I have entered a valid URL into the
'Navigate' method, but when I run the form and attempt to access the
url....nothing happens. Do I have to wake up this control somehow? How do I
get the control to work?
