Hi All,

Recently, I installed/uninstalled several programs and somewhere in the process some desktop settings that worked previously have now been disabled. I am using Windows 2000 Pro SP3.

Here's my problem list so far...

In the Display Properties:

1) I can no longer enabled font smoothing, "smooth edges of screen fonts" to be exact. It is off and the check box is disabled (greyed out)

2) Same for the "use transition effects for menus and tooltips".

3) My app windows used to have a 2-color title bar. I tried to set the second color but this is also disabled.

I have searched the MS Web site (what a mess that is). Any other ideas?

Yes, these are fairly minor problems but, please help if you can. Thanks in advance!
