I have an application that is installed on a Win2k Server and accessed by 5 W2k client desktop computers over a 100meg Ethernet connections. It is used to run a business 10 hours per day. This version is a update to the previous version in VFP 6.0 which never had C5 errors. McAfee Antivirus software is installed on each terminal. Each terminal and the server have a battery backup.
C5 errors occur sometimes as frequently as daily to as infrequently as 3 weeks apart. They are occur in a variety of the most used screens and at different points in the code. I did not experience them in development but seem unable to find the cause in the completed application.
I do manual garbage collection for object references to insure they are all destroyed when no longer needed. I have checked all these references but nothing seems to eliminate the problem. I have read all the items in the knowledge base about C5 errors but none apply.
I have re-written the most used parts of the application to try to eliminate any possible causes but this has not helped. I was wondering if anyone had any suggestions of a method that could be used to track down the cause.
Thanks
Simon
