I believe there is hardly a theoretical limit, that is, practical limits will apply much earlier than any theoretical limit.
The largest amount of
simultaneous number of users listed in the VFP Zone is 1000.
The UT boasts 40,000 users, but the largest number of simultaneous users is ca. 120. Perhaps still more than you will ever need?
OTOH, for a large amount of users (and/or data) you might consider client/server.
