I know where to set it, I guess my point is that since Jan. 2002 (or before that I think) the MSDN Library has been in the newer format and no longer uses msdn*.col or .chm. So I was curious if we could use the new help files without creating a custom menu link.

Why link? Because that way everything is centralized.

I'm not sure why you would wnat to do that. Anyway, go to Tools -> OPtions -> File Locations -> Help File. Click on Browse button and navigate to the directory where MSDN is installed. Select a file with name like MSDN*.col. After that MSDN will be called instead of VFP help file.
