In my FP2.6 application I format my own printer output by using Printer Escape Sequences as variables before/after text, and doing a lot of COPY TO LPTx stuff.

Starting with later model InkJet printers and now some of the newer USB Laser Printers, there are no more functional (DOS level) LPT ports and the InkJet printers hangup, when you send them laserjet Esc Codes. Basically, sending this stuff to the new ports/InkJet printers hang up the computer!!

So now as a result, I have to tell my customers to only buy LaserJet compatible printers, and those are disapprearing more and more everyday.

Has anybody else encountered these PRINTING problems with their DOS applications lately, and come up with possible solutions ? basically,

Any ideas would be GREATLY appreciated...
