Knowing that any attempt to get us Foxers to be seriously organized about anything can be easily categorized as the proverbial herding of cats (as can be seen by the most of this thread so far), I'll just add what I think and pretend that I'm not doing anything of the kind in any other thread ;).

>4) proposed rules - please add (revise) to these
>a) Bug fix requests are not to be entered in the Wish List.

Bug fixes should either be a separate category, or marked somehow - again, by forcing a selection in a combo (possible values: new feature, enhancement, bug fix, documentation).

>b) Selection of an "Area" (maybe this should be renamed to "Category") is mandatory.
>c) Only one (1) wish is to be entered per page, pertinent to the "Area" selected and pertinent to the 'feature' named in the wish Title.
>-- If the wish concerns something like "All container controls" then of course it can suggest multiple properties or ideas (or whatever) as long as they all relate to containers in general.
>d) Consider the "Title" of the wish carefully, making sure that it well summarizes the gist of the wish.
>e) Make full liberal use of the "Description" area so that readers can fully understand your wish.
>-- A description like "Ready-made OK CANCEL buttons like Delphi" is not at all helpful to any reader. In such a case it is required that "ready-made" be described, how they can be used, and how they operate.

I agree that searching the existing wishes should be made as easy and successful as possible. I know it took me half an hour to check whether someone already entered what I wanted to add - and writing the entry itself took me five minutes.

I'd also like to see comments added to existing entries - including the "but this already exists in version nn". The wishes for something that already exists shouldn't be there, but that can be determined only after the posting... which may require some moderation, or a way to add comments.
