I haven't seen this problem. Doesn't mean it doesn't exist, just that I haven't seen it. OK, this goes beyond the scope of this forum (VFP 8 beta). If you or Dale want to email me directly, I'll try to repro.

>>>I was just curious if anyone with VFP8 beta had a chance to try out VFP8 on VMWare? I know VFP6 and VFP7 do not work with VMWare for testing purposes. According to Christof I guess VFP6/7 had an error in the gen opt code or something which does not allow it to work with VMWare.

>PMFJI (but I noticed you're online right now) - What Dale is seeing is that when he attempts to run any VFP app. under an "emulated Win98" VMWare session (that is, his machine is running Win2K emulating a Win98 machine), VFP completely bombs out. He couldn't even run the development environment (much less any of his apps). A few other people who have tested this have confirmed that same problem.
