You consider Cringely a reliable source? About the only thing you can learn from his column is Infoworld will give about anyone a column these days. (This clown isn't even the original Robert Cringely, BTW. They have kept the name, which I believe was made up in the first place, but it's a different person writing the column now).

Even if I had more respect for "Cringely" I wouldn't be too persuaded by the opinions of a handful of people.

You are becoming about as predictable as John Peterson, except you bash .NET instead of VFP. If you are not sold on .NET and don't want to use it, then don't. I don't see what you hope to accomplish with your ongoing campaign to put it down.
