I have the default XP install -whereby it boots up as an admin box. I know this is poopoo - and that I need to set up an admin login and log myself as a user

I did this - al las - still the CoCreate devil

first pass slow (P4 fully loaded), second pass better
The result of the CoCreate can also be identified if you get a Windows dialog something to the effect of error in the USER32.dll... Which was another indicator of CoCreate.
Be nice if Visual InterDev would kick back a report:)
Couldn't start the COM server based on the IUSR_... account and the password, or the IUSR_... account didn't have execute rights on the dll (via your running XP, right? also applicable to Windows 2000).
I'll retry even set up another virtual directory. I gave RWX to all user levels Havent messed with foxISAPI permissions much. IIS is 5.1 and since my exposure to 2K IIS, can't make a determination or comparison. I'll keep plodding. If anything comes up - by all means - let me know. And BTW Thanks!
