We have developed an application with the following specifications.
Server OS - Digital Unix on Compaq True 64
Client OS - WinNT Wkstn

There are real time processes developed in Pro*C running on Unix Server using Oracle 7.3.4 installed on Unix Server.

Clients are developed using VB 6.0 using the database using ODBC.

There are some 47 realtime processes developed in Proc*C running on the server.

Now the problem is that the database gets locked after 7 or 8 hours.

At that point of time neither I am able to open a new connection from remote clients nor able to use local connections.

This problem accurs every second or third day.

Could ne one of u suggest some tips or suggestions to eleminate the problem or to fine tune the working.

I will highly appreciate if u could reply at the earliest.
