Does anybody know of a good book on the syntax and stored procedures language for ORACLE 8i?. I tried few books but, despite of their title including or advertising about Store Procedures, they dedicate a thin chapter or less to it with a couple of simple examples. Need something more robust. If you know of one, let me know.

By the same token, our management is persuading us into getting to redesign our system and slice it up into a multi-tier design. Any book, suggestions on where we will have a good starting point? We have client-server programmed and maintained our app in the last 4 years, but they want us to move on with this new and great stuff. I went to a VFP developer conference, everyone talked about it, so we are curious now and need help.

Thank you all,
'... and yes, I have taught the woodpecker about persistence. '
