Nancy, thanks for your reply.

In this particuar instance, I eventually got to the root of the problem... in one field there was a set focus which was setting focus to the save field.

I was trying to use the Coverage log file to discover what the problem was but was finding it difficult because it did not have the actual source code in the log file.
