Hi Gary,

>>sorry, the link to the hotel has had a typo in it. It must be www.lindner.de
>Phew. I logged on to the other site and it was a "knives" maker. I thought, Oh-oh - not a good place to stay <bg>.

Hope you don't take the knives thing personally < vbg >. Usually we're all very peacefull people over here :)

>What difference is in the content between the three day and four day format?

One point is, that there are several tracks running on different days:

- VFP-Intro (Tue-Wed) - for beginners - German
- SQL-Server-Intro (Thu) - for beginners with SQL Server - German
- .NET for VFP (Tue-Wed) - Kevin McNeish - English
- SQL-Server (Fri) - SQL Server - English
- SW-Testing (Fri) - German

If you want to come for three days, you can choose between the first or the last three days of the conference.

Many sessions are only held once, so this might have some influence on your decission regarding when and how long to stay. There's no detailed schedule available yet, but I will ask Rainer (he's the boss of our group and is organizing the conference) this afternoon, when there will be more details available. If you have the possibility to stay four days, I would recommend that, because you will be busy the whole day long. There are also late night sessions after dinner and the nights in the bar are really long < g >. But you might also base your decission on when the most English sessions are. I will keep you posted about the schedule.

>Also, what are the dates of the show?
November, 5th (09:00am, following days 08:00am) - 8th (about 05:00pm, previous days 06:00pm).

>I will check for room availability when I know the dates and, cost/availability of flights.

When checking with the hotel, you'll have to mention that the room is for the VFP conference in order to get the conference rate. There's also a hotel around the corner that's cheaper than the conference hotel. This decission should be balanced between the amount of free beer you're going to drink and the ability to walk around the corner in afterwards in the middle of the night <vbg>.

>How far is the venue from the airport?

It's about 15km (about 9 miles). AFAIK, the hotel has a shuttle service, but unfortunately I don't have any details about that. You should check this directly with the hotel, when you've decided to come.

Regards,
Armin
