Thank you for all of your help. The final solution was that I have BLACKICE, a fire wall, installed on the server. It was never a problem with 98 and win 2000 boxes but the XP box did not like it. I disconnected BLACKICE and everything worked. I am left with 1 last problem. When I attempt to run a WSH script, XP puts up a dialog stating that it has detected a malicious script. How do I encourage XP to let it be?

>Make sure NetBIOS is loaded as a network protocol (I don't have XP here so I can't walk you through it; this is from memory and from my Win2K machine). Basically, though, you go into the network setting, select the LAN icon that shows up and right click and select properties. Select TCP/IP, then properties. You might need to click on the advanced button. There is a WINS tab, you should see the NetBIOS setting at the bottom. If it is set to "Use NetBIOS setting from the DHCP server" you might need to switch it to "Enable NetBIOS over TCP/IP".
