Opps! It looks like RH did some 'nullifying' on KDevelop. It usually takes a few seconds. They should have installed Qt-3. In /usr/bin you should see "Qt_designer-3" (and one for 2), which is the script that fires Qt Designer by setting the correct env vars. You may have to edit the 'tools' option on KDevelop to point it to 3 if you get the Qt 2 designer. You can tell you have the right designer by dropping down the Projects menu. If you see a "Database session" option on that submenu then you have the right one.

I love GIMP. They have a BEAUTIFUL PDF manual that you can freely download. The manual was done by GIMP and like the Blender manual it is a work of art. It looks like RH fumbled the config of GIMP too. I have no trouble reading and/or saving files. It also fires Sane, which brings up my scanner, very smoothly.
