Prepare not to be "turned on".
You have to register the OCX/DLLs on the local machine. Even if you register the copy that is on the network, the registry entries still have to be local.
Do you have to do the registration? Can't you create an installation package and give the users a place to access it. They would actually run the package, not you. The package could install the local files and create a shortcut to the network application.
