Have we made progress! First some guy invents the typewriter to type “Hello World” and then they invent computers to do the same thing. Now to create the message we have to have a programmer write code for a computer to understand to tell another machine to print the message from the complied result. Have we made things easier? No, but we employ more people to get the same result.

Think of what would happen to the economy if we went back to typewriters and gave up computers. Think of all the trees that would be saved! By the way, whatever happened to the promise of “the paperless office”?
