If you change a registry key for a third party software package, so that
the key points to another folder instead of the windows directory, what effect will it have on the windows 2000 server? The key only contains a search path to a file, which the third party software will use. It has not effect on the windows core files.
Will it cause the server to stop responding? Will the server not boot up after changing the key?
