So, you are convinced it is security related and it is only "luck" that it works under development. I will look into using MTS to grant the COM object a certain level of security and see how well I fair. However, that looks to be a daunting task given I've had no experience with it and the articles I have seem to be for a version of MTS prior to the Win2000 version.
