Thanks for the feedback. I think my problem is the varchar SQL field has some (carriage returns) in it, and VFP is looking at those and thinking it is the end of the line. Do you know anyway to force it to a memo field?



>What is the field length in SQL for the the varchar field? I just did a couple of tests and if the field length in SQL Server is set at 254 or less it will return as a char field to VFP. 255 or more and it will return as a memo in VFP. SQL 2000 and VFP 7.0.
