Thanks for the help. We will give it a try on Monday morning. Is this set of commands (NET USE) applicable to the XP Professional operating system? The reason I mention that is your statement "In my Win2k login script...". XP Pro is what is running on the laptop and where we wish to capture the port at LPT1. Also, I'm assuming the

commands need to be exactly as you have referenced them.
