JR!

You're probably right. The rational I've heard for PTs [and I am just a minimal sql user] related to performance issues accross a large enterprise network. They were converting from client side sql to stored procedures and from remote to pass-through views to speed it up! But I really don't know how to evaluate SQL performance. What is the 'fast' we are talking about? How fast the query is? How fast the query results get to the screen? How fast a refresh is? How fast the network cruises? What is the affect of client counts on 'fast'?

I was impressed with VFP [using sql pt and sp]. Never evaluated, seen or written a remote view guy! But I was impressed with VFP / SQL!
