I have the least experience in the development team I work in. However I do understand the need for coding standards and such. The company I work for doe's not currently enforce any coding standards or offer any guidelines what so ever. I am hoping to change that but coming from the programmer with the least experience I am not sure how convincing it will be. I have already put together a list of known standards. I would be very grateful if you lot out there would just state your relevant experience and back up my suggestion that coding standards should be used so I know I am not the only one who thinks this.
